Ok! Listen up! I just want to say sorry... AGAIN. I know I haven't been on for a forever and a half but whatever. I admit it! I've been lazy! But we all are. Right? Right. Glad I got that out of the way. Moving on. So, plenty has happened over these past few months or so and I have alot to say. I know you all are thinking "O God. Bethany's gonna write a novel again..." but I'll try my best to keep it short and sweet cause I don't really want to bore the few friends I have left. So grab yourself some popcorn and pull up a seat cause here we go!

February 21st: Senshi-Con (Anime Convention)

Starting off, I'd like to give you all a fair warning. I ACT REALLY HIGH DURING ANIME CONVENTIONS. THIS ALSO CONTAINS SLIGHT YAOI REFERENCES (GUYxGUY). IF YOU CAN NOT HANDLE RANDOMNESS, DO NOT READ. REPEAT. DO NOT READ. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. So, I cosplayed as Sasuke, a friend of mine went as Zelda and made it herself as did I, my brother Nick dressed as... nothing (He has a DA account too! Check it out here! [link] ) and Nathaniel cosplayed as the usual Link. Fangirls were all over me for the first hour or so because I was the only Sasuke in the whole convention. After all the fans, glomps, and pics, I sat down to watch an upcoming performance until HE came in. That bastard waltzed in with fangirls clinging to him like no other. I got up and told him I was the real Sasuke and that he was just a fake. We argued back and forth until I pulled out of my bag a note that read SORRY GIRLS, I'M GAY. (supposed to look like the Sasuke-holding-up-a-note-that-says-that-he's-gay loop that's all over the net) We then came to an agreement saying that we'll both be Sasukes’; we'll just be gay for each other. Can anybody say twincest? Twincest! So I met his fangirls Tahesha (Sakura), Tahesha's sister Kanira, Shae (L) and Ritsuka from Loveless (can't remember her real name) and we all sat down on a couple of nearby chairs. He asked me if I wanted to get some fangirls all riled up and of course I said yes. So I stood up and we slowly went down to the ground. When we got there, he had pinned me. Although we were acting crazy at the time, I just couldn’t stop staring into his eyes. I think I found myself kinda liking him at that point. Fangirls went crazy and whipped out their cameras. Not too long after, a guard came by and had us get up and stop, so we did. We all decided to upstairs and exchange phone numbers in a more quite and calm place. There, we really got to know everyone and learned each others names. The other Sasuke's name was Joseph, but I just called him Joey. So Joey wanted us to meet another friend of his and her name was Katie (another Sakura). Not his girlfriend! I promise! Just a friend who is a girl! Anywho, she told me she really wanted to meet a Link cosplayer and what a coincidence! My brother was Link! She then said that since he was my brother, we should glomp him. I was perfectly fine with it. So I led an expedition, a valiant quest to find Link. Once I saw my target from across the room, my eyes were locked on. I screamed at the top of my lungs, "JUMP HIIIIIMMM!!!" I tackled him to the floor and literally started to ROFL. Nathaniel being all like "HOLY SHIT!" flipped his lid. Nick saw the incident and started beating me with his wooden sword to get me off of Nathaniel and Joey took that opportunity to have another fangirl moment since I was already on the ground. He got on top of me and again the fangirls flashed their cameras. Once Nick saw this, he started beating me even harder than before to make us stop. (I think he's a homo-phobic) Anything for the fangirls, though! They both walked off and I just couldn't help myself. I just thought that was the funniest thing ever! He never saw it coming. So we all relaxed for a bit upstairs and sooner or later, I heard rumors that Joey and Ritsuka were making out upstairs. I admit, I think I found myself a little jealous and disappointed after I heard that. But I brushed it off. Going back earlier though, at the convention I had signed up for the talent show in which any group or person could do whatever they liked as long as it was related anything anime, manga, game, etc. and I was going to sing a Japanese song called Kesenai Tsumi by Nana Kitade (best known from Full Metal Alchemist) but as soon as I walked onto the stage I got stage fright and I totally forgot the whole entire song... I was soooo embarrassed but I finally told myself that it was no big deal. Hey, Naruto still loved me! After the talent show was over, we walked around some more and later on that night it was time for the cosplay chess in which Joey and Tahesha signed up for. Both of them lost but that's okay, because they're still winners in my book! The night came to an end after we went to watch some anime and I was obviously upset it all had to end. But before we all left, there was one, big group hug and I was crushed between a chair and someone else behind me. We sadly said our goodbyes and proclaimed this convention to be the best one each of us had ever been to. We also vowed that we'd keep in touch and we would one day really get to be the best of friends that would never split apart.

February 22nd-27th: The Following Week

I really stayed in touch with everyone I met and I was extremely surprised. Not everyday I of all people do that. It was really nice that Joey and I called each other every night that whole week. We talked about literally everything. I swear, there is nothing we haven't covered and now it feels like I've known him about all my life. (you readers are probably thinking by now that I had a crush on him... well your right) That Thursday, he invited me to a radio play. It's kind of like a radio show, but live. It was also going first time seeing each other looking normal without our cosplay, so we were kind of excited. So a bunch of groups from a bunch of different schools came and performed and Joey's group was doing a skit in which dealt with a mixed combination of fairy tales. He was one of the Three Little Pigs and I must say, he made an adorable little piggy! It was about Little Red Riding Hood, her Grandma, and the Big Bad Wolf switching bodies and they have to eat some of Tinkerbelle’s hair to change back, so they make this long journey and came across the Three Little Pigs. By the end, they all returned to their own bodies and somehow the Three Little Pigs get their bodies switched too. It may not sound too exciting, but DAMN, it was hilarious! They had the best show and once they announced that East High School won! We were so happy because that was his school! He did so great and I was so proud of him! I still am today! I got to meet his dad afterwards and my mom was going to pick me up until she found out that they wanted to take me out to dinner. So my mom met his dad (and its scary how much our parents are alike, but opposite sexes) and while I ran over to the car to say hi to my grandma, I guess Joey had told my mom, "Mrs. Miller, I really like your daughter..." Boy that was a shocker for both me and my mom. So I went out to dinner with them and met my mom as soon as they dropped me off back at home. God, I had a good night. And knowing that Joey liked me made me feel even better. The following night was the night of my talent show. I decided to give Kesenai Tsumi one more try and so I had been practicing all day long. Once I got home, I wanted to dress as a gothic lolita girl for my song, but I was unable to find any clothes for that look. My mom realized that and thought that I could use a new wardrobe and so, for no odd reason (besides the talent show), she spent $100 dollars on me for the look I was going for. She had got me fishnet tights, a short, little, black satin dress that was strapless, and a bunch of jewelry. And at the anime convention, I had bought myself a little top hap that just secures in the hair like a comb. They are so popular all over Japan! I asked her if she honestly was fine with Joey seeing me in an outfit like that. She was totally fine with it! I saw him later that night, and I'm glad my mom got me that outfit because he just dropped his jaw and wouldn't stop staring. Problem was, same with a bunch of other guys... whatever. I performed with all the courage and strength I had and it was a great performance. I mean I was as nervous as hell, but I just brushed it off. I don't mean to brag, but I still get comments to this day. And for the grand finale, our school band played What I've Done by Lincoln Park. It was great! A friend of mine (Myriah) and her boyfriend was also there for support and after talent show, we all went out to dinner at Applebee's. Joey and I were flirting the whole time and Myriah and her boyfriend had no idea and they even knew we weren’t together. I mean, we were really flirting beyond all compare! It was really bad! I ordered a strawberry virgin margarita and Joey and I shared it. We all had a great time at dinner that night and we all played tricks on each other. The guys put salt in our drinks and us girls had told some employees that it was the guys' birthdays. They never came to sing them happy birthday, though. So my mom drove everybody home and as soon as I got home, I realized that my life was starting to turn around and look good for once. Bad habits had come to a complete stop, I was always happy, and I was getting out more, talking to people. Things were working out for the best.

Febuary 28th: The Senshi-Con After Party

Yes! Saturday again! And not just any Saturday, but the day of the after party!
Our little group had gotten together again and we all cosplayed just for the hell of it! What? We wanted to bring back week old memories. So, as a review, Joey and I were Sasuke, Tahesha and Katie were Sakura, Tahesha's sister was also there, but not in cosplay again, Kasia was Zelda, and Shae, Ritsuka, and my brothers were sadly not there this time. We all played video games and what not and Joey had wanted to make a SasukexSasuke fangirl video and post it on Youtube. (still in progress) So we all hauled ourselves upstairs where it was quieter and we started our project we had been planning for a week now. It was sooo funny, but totally worth it... in the beginning. Later on in the video, though, Joey had pulled me aside. Everyone else was wondering what the hell was going on that was so personal he had to tell me and only me? He started off with, "Hey, Bethany? We know each other pretty well, right? Well, I was hoping for the end of this video, well, we could, um... kiss. It would be really good for the video..." It was then I couldn’t breath and I felt as though someone had knocked the wind outta me. I couldn't even speak and my mouth was just wide open, like, 'What did he just say?!?' He immediately covered my mouth with his hand, hoping I wouldn't scream, and said, "I'm sorry! We don't have to if you don't want to! Seriously! I'll give you some time to think about it. You can scream now if you have to." I let out the loudest scream I had in me and I was just pacing back and forth, not knowing what to do. Everyone rushed to my aid and I pulled Kasia into another room to talk about what I should do. I started crying because I really liked him, but I wasn't sure if it was going to fast or not. Suddenly Tahesha, Kanira, and Katie came in to see what was going on and they were actually really surprised to hear that I liked Joey. Finally, Joey started walking towards us because he was starting to get worried. I flipped out and ran to the girl’s bathroom with the other girls following me. They told him to leave me alone and that I just needed time to myself. Kasia said things were going way to fast and Tahesha and her sister told me to go for it. Katie was unsure and told me to do whatever my heart told me. They all eventually left and I pulled myself together. I looked in the mirror and said that it was either now or never. I wiped the tears from my face and slowly forced myself out of the bathroom. I came face to face with him and he said, “I’m sooo sorry if I scared you or made you mad. I mean it wasn't-" I had cut him off to say, "Wait. Joey, I have something to tell you..." Everyone huddled around us and was waiting in suspense. Tears were starting to well up in my eyes again. I finally came out with, "Joey, I like you... I REALLY like you." It was the hardest thing I had ever had to say I my life. I'll never forget what he said. "Bethany, will you be my girlfriend?" Tears of joy ran down my face and I fell into his arms saying, "Yes Joey, I will!!!" It was then the world stopped for that tiny moment as he held me in his arms. He smelled sweet and his body warmed mine. I don't think anything could have ruined the most perfect time of my life.
